Patience on the Right Path

A reminder that when you're trying to stay clean-hearted in a heavy world, the struggle is not a sign of failure. It's a sign you're still on the path.

Lately I've been seeing a lot of hopelessness and heaviness around us. And I get it. All of us are carrying things we don't post, and we don't always talk about. But I wanted to remind myself first, and then you, of something Islam teaches us.

If you believe in Allah and you're trying to live with a clean heart, this dunya will never feel perfect. The Prophet ﷺ taught us that this world is like a prison for the believer and a comfort for the one who doesn't care about the next life. So when you feel restricted, tested, or tired, it doesn't always mean you're failing. These trials can show up in different ways: finances, family, work, health, or relationships.

Sometimes people who don't care about the akhirah will do anything to get what they want, no matter the cost. But when you're trying to stay on the right path, you move differently. You try to keep things halal, you try to protect your heart, and you try not to compromise your faith. That can feel slower, harder, and heavier, but it's worth it.

Tests are not a sign that Allah forgot you. They can be a sign that Allah is raising you, cleansing you, and bringing you closer. Allah tells us in the Quran that with hardship comes ease. Not only after it, but with it. So even if you can't see it yet, ease is being written alongside what you're going through.

So don't let despair convince you that your story is over. Hold on to your salah. Keep making dua, even if it's simple. Keep asking Allah for strength, guidance, and peace. And try not to take shortcuts just to escape what you're in. Stay patient, stay steady, and trust that Allah will make a way for you.

May Allah ease what you're carrying, replace your worry with calm, and open doors you didn't expect. Ameen.
